Twenty Years of Impact
From a student initiative to a community movement — Bhangra in the Burgh continues to celebrate culture and create change.
More Than a Competition
Bhangra in the Burgh is Pittsburgh's premier Bhangra competition run entirely by students from Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Pittsburgh. Since 2007, the competition has been used as a vehicle to support and raise over $110,000 for local charities.
Overtime, we have built and grown the competition to become an important stage in the Bhangra circuit. We bring some of the best Bhangra teams from all over the nation to compete on stage in one night of music, dance, and celebration of South Asian culture!
Our story →Dancing for a Bigger Cause
Bhangra in the Burgh is more than a celebration — it's a movement of giving. Each year, we partner with a local nonprofit to support their mission and create a stronger, healthier, more vibrant Pittsburgh.
Our charity partner for the twentieth anniversary show will be announced soon. Follow @bhangraintheburgh for the reveal.
